On March 10th, 2010 RLFSHOP LLC, Doing Business As "Shopsmith LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY" (The current manufacture of the Shopsmith line of woodworking tools) was granted a trademark for the PowerPro! The description of the mark is:
The color(s) Red, Blue, Black and white is/are claimed as a feature of the mark. The mark consists of red Registered Shopsmith Logo above Power Pro in white with dark blue/black background with lightning bolts throughout background.
I am both excited and nervous. Excited that this is the dream upgrade for my Shopsmith. Nervous that I'm not going to be able to afford it.
ReplyDeleteI know Shopsmith has had really rough times as of late. However, I hope that when they price the PowerPro, they keep in mind that their customers are living in the same tough economy.
Far better to sell many at a modest profit, than very few richly. The more people who get excited about the name Shopsmith, the better.
(Ask a random person under the age of 40 what they know about Shopsmith -- odds are they have never heard of it unless a family member has owned one.)
